Kindel double powers Canada under-17 women
Canada opened the final round with a 5-0 win.

Canada defeated Nicaragua 5-0 in Group A of the final Concacaf Women’s Under-17 qualifying round. Lacey Kindel scored twice at the Costa Rican federation’s second field in Alajuela, helping Canada make a convincing start to this stage of the tournament.
Gabriela Istocki opened the scoring in the eleventh minute and Kindel added another two minutes later. Brooklyn Boldt made it three after receiving Isabella Lanzillotta’s defence-splitting pass, before Kindel converted a penalty to complete her brace before halftime.
Adalyn Fairweather finished the scoring with a long-range effort into the top corner in the 83rd minute. Both teams were scheduled to return two days later, with Canada facing the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua meeting El Salvador in their next group fixtures.
