Korea and India win demanding men’s group ties
Both teams prevailed 3-2 while Thailand and Malaysia recorded 5-0 victories.

Korea and India won close men’s group ties at the Badminton Asia Team Championships in Qingdao. Korea defeated Hong Kong 3-2 in Group B, while India overcame Singapore by the same score in Group C after both contests required decisive individual matches.
Korea won both doubles matches and the second singles, where Choi Ji-hoon defeated Angus Ng. India relied on Kidambi Srikanth to settle its tie, with the veteran beating Joel Koh Jia Wei 21-15, 21-16 after the first four matches left the teams level.
Thailand and Malaysia had more straightforward results. Thailand defeated Macau 5-0, and Malaysia beat Myanmar 5-0, setting up their concluding group meetings with China and Indonesia respectively.
