Kralj and Stuffer win alpine luge junior world titles
Slovenia took men’s gold and silver while Italy swept the women’s podium in Umhausen.

Vid Kralj and Tina Stuffer won the Alpine Luge Junior World Championships singles titles in Umhausen. Kralj beat younger brother Žiga by 0.17 seconds for Slovenia, while Stuffer led an Italian women’s podium sweep on the Grantau track.
Stuffer completed three runs in 3:42.68, with Nina Castiglioni taking silver 1.08 seconds behind and Lotte Mulser bronze, 1.30 back. The victory followed her junior European title earlier in the season and junior world silver the previous year.
Vid Kralj recovered from a 0.42-second opening deficit to win in 3:39.67. Austria’s Simon Saurer took men’s bronze, 1.57 seconds behind, after improving on his final run during the concluding day of the championship.
