Kyle Walker announced the end of his England international career after ninety-six appearances. The thirty-five-year-old defender had represented the national side at five major tournaments across almost fifteen years, prompting tributes from current head coach Thomas Tuchel and former coach Gareth Southgate.

Tuchel said Walker had embraced the responsibility of representing his country and could take pride in his contribution. Although the two worked together only briefly, the coach regarded the length and consistency of Walker's international service as evidence of his dedication.

Southgate also recognised Walker's role in England reaching two finals during their years together. His tribute recalled shared matches and said the defender's family could be proud of the career, closing a chapter that had spanned several England coaching eras.
