La Linea de la Concepcion was awarded the 2026 European Rowing Coastal and Beach Sprint Championships in an announcement on 29 April. The decision placed both forms of coastal racing in the Spanish city during September.

Beach sprint competition was scheduled for 16–17 September, with coastal endurance racing following on 18–20 September. The Spanish national coastal championships were also planned alongside the European programme, bringing domestic and continental competition into the same hosting period.

La Linea had staged the Coupe de la Jeunesse in 2025, providing an existing connection with international rowing. The April announcement confirmed the host and dates, rather than winners or completed participation figures. As an archive account of the award, it preserves the distinction between an organisational decision and later race outcomes at the venue.
