The final men’s group matches at the Badminton Asia Team Championships produced several close results in Qingdao. China topped Group A by defeating Thailand 3-2, recovering from the loss of the opening singles match before Dong Tian Yao supplied the deciding point.

Indonesia came back from 2-0 down against Malaysia to win Group D. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting secured the final singles match 21-17, 13-21, 21-16 after his teammates had levelled the tie through the second singles and doubles contests.

Japan also overturned a 2-0 deficit against India to win Group C, with Koki Watanabe completing the recovery. Korea defeated Chinese Taipei to finish as the Group B winner ahead of the knockout phase.
