Rico Lewis converted a late penalty to earn England under-21s a 1-1 draw away to Andorra in European Championship qualifying. The result kept Lee Carsley’s side unbeaten and at the head of Group D in their campaign for the 2027 finals.

Gerard Sola Garcia had put the hosts ahead in the second half, finishing Yedid Santaella Prinetti’s cross from close range. England controlled possession but struggled to break through, with goalkeeper Marc de Castro Prat saving efforts from Jobe Bellingham and substitute Tyler Dibling.

Bellingham then won the penalty that Lewis finished to salvage a point. Dibling nearly supplied a winner afterwards, but Prat caught his cushioned volley as Andorra preserved a memorable draw at the Estadi Nacional.
