Late Seattle goals seal quarterfinal place over Vancouver
Musovski and Rothrock complete a 5-1 aggregate Champions Cup victory.

Seattle Sounders advanced to the Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinals after beating Vancouver Whitecaps 2-1 at One Spokane Stadium. The result completed a 5-1 aggregate victory, with Seattle having built a three-goal advantage in the first leg in Vancouver.
Jeevan Badwal gave the visitors hope with a left-footed strike from the edge of the area in the 24th minute. Seattle waited until the closing stages to answer, when Danny Musovski headed the equaliser in the 79th minute.
Paul Rothrock finished a flowing team move four minutes later to secure victory on the night. Seattle, the reigning Leagues Cup champions, progressed to face the winner of the round-of-16 tie between FC Cincinnati and Tigres UANL.
