FIDAL Lazio renews athletics cooperation with Italian Army
Fabio Martelli and General Marco Longo signed an agreement in Rome.

FIDAL Lazio and the Italian Army General Staff signed a cooperation protocol in Rome on 15 January. Regional federation president Fabio Martelli and Major General Marco Longo, head of the General Staff’s fifth department, formalised the agreement.
The partnership supports joint activities aimed at physical preparation, operational efficiency and participation in athletics. FIDAL Lazio said the agreement continued a relationship established in previous years.
The initial term runs until 31 December 2026, with the possibility of renewal. Martelli welcomed the opportunity to work alongside the Army and linked the collaboration to the educational and social contribution of athletics.
