Lee Drew announced that he would step down as head of World Squash Officiating at the end of January to focus on coaching. He had led the organisation since July 2023 and would remain involved through consultancy work after leaving the management role.

The PSA and World Squash credited his tenure with progress in professional refereeing, greater support for women officials and modern training resources. Drew highlighted five professional referees, improved pay and development pathways involving online courses, mentoring, workshops and the Women in Refereeing project.

PSA chief executive Alex Gough cited a network covering 135 countries and territories and forty-four partner federations. World Squash described the platform as helping national members access consistent training and standards, with further organisational updates to follow after the leadership transition.
