Liverpool advanced to the FA Cup fifth round by beating Brighton & Hove Albion 3-0 at Anfield. Curtis Jones opened the scoring just before half-time, with Dominik Szoboszlai and Mohamed Salah adding goals during the second half to complete the victory.

Jones diverted Milos Kerkez’s cross into the net in the 42nd minute after both sides had struggled to create clear chances. Liverpool had already seen a Cody Gakpo header ruled out for offside, while Alisson made saves to resist Brighton’s response.

Szoboszlai returned from suspension as one of four changes to the starting team. His strike and Salah’s penalty confirmed Liverpool’s place in the next-round draw and ensured the home side finished the tie with a clean sheet.
