Lucy Solloway double gives Marine Academy away win
Worthing Women were defeated 2–0 despite early opportunities.
Source publication date:
Marine Academy Plymouth beat Worthing Women 2–0, with Lucy Solloway scoring in each half. Worthing began with more possession and created chances through Tilly Jones and Laila Malcolm, but could not turn their early control into a goal.
Solloway finished into the far bottom corner to put the visitors ahead before the interval. Eleanor Keegan then struck the crossbar for Worthing, while goalkeeper Ella Hunkin made several second-half stops to prevent Plymouth extending the advantage earlier.
Both sides continued to threaten, and Sophie Lee made her Worthing debut from the bench. Solloway eventually scored again deep into added time to settle the match, completing her double and leaving the home side at the foot of the standings.
