Malta complete unbeaten run to win second Small Countries title

Malta won the 2026 FIBA European Championship for Small Countries with a 90-76 victory over defending champions Andorra in Gibraltar. The result completed an unbeaten campaign and delivered Malta’s second title after its 2018 success.
Jordan Tucker led Malta with 25 points, eight rebounds and five assists. Michael Sjoberg added 23 points and eight rebounds, while Aaron Falzon scored 18.
Andorra led 35-34 at half-time, but Malta pulled away in the fourth quarter. Host nation Gibraltar defeated San Marino 72-67 for its first podium finish in the competition.
