More than five hundred masters runners competed for England selection opportunities at Wilmslow, Thorney and the Forest of Dean. The federation said places in later representative races would be confirmed after organisers ratified the results.

The Keith Hall Memorial ten kilometres sold out within nine hours, with masters taking more than a quarter of entries. Alex Gibb won the men’s race and Hayley Gill the women’s event. Wilmslow’s half marathon attracted 185 registered masters seeking national vests.

More than two hundred masters entered the Forest of Dean Spring Trails Half Marathon, where top-six age-group finishes determined qualification. Matthew and Ben Robinson won their respective categories, producing a father-and-son double across the challenging woodland course.
