Marco Mastrolorenzi cleared 1.69m to set an M65 world indoor high jump record at the Italian masters championships in Ancona. The former international windsurfer completed the competition without a failed attempt, improving the previous record by one centimetre.

The earlier mark had been achieved by Dusan Prezelj in 2015 and matched by Manfred Ziegler in 2025. Mastrolorenzi’s success formed part of a session that also brought two European age-group records on the track.

Barbara Martinelli ran 1:04.51 in the W60 400m, bettering Virginia Mitchell’s 1:04.55. Massimiliano Catalano won the M55 60m in 7.36, improving Andre Bancod’s 2019 European mark of 7.41. FIDAL reported ten additional Italian records during the third championship day.
