Milan marathon reaches fourteen thousand entries
A new point-to-point route and international growth shape the April race.
Source publication date:
The Milan Marathon reported fourteen thousand entries a month before its 12 April start, already exceeding the previous year’s 10,250. Organisers said sixty-five per cent of runners were coming from abroad, with 115 countries represented and France providing the largest overseas group.
The route changes from a loop to a point-to-point course, starting on Corso Sempione at 08:15 and finishing in Piazza Duomo. The first thirteen kilometres are new, while fifty-one cheering points are planned along the route.
An additional sixteen thousand runners are expected in the four-person relay marathon. Its charity programme involves 140 organisations and targets €2 million in fundraising, after raising €1.8 million in 2025. The accompanying running festival moves to Superstudio Maxi.
