Milton suffers leg fracture during Paralympic comeback bid
Paralympics Australia said the skier remained under assessment after an accident in Colorado.

Michael Milton’s bid to return to the Winter Paralympics was placed in doubt after he fractured his left femur while skiing in Colorado. Paralympics Australia reported that he slipped on a slick section after a training run and landed heavily on the stump of his amputated leg.
Scans identified a small fracture near the femoral neck. Milton was being assessed for possible surgery and remained in contact with the Australian team doctor and specialists in both countries. He had not ruled out continuing his Games campaign at that stage.
Chef de mission Ben Troy said support would be provided while the team waited for further medical assessment. Milton had qualified for five Para alpine events during his attempted return, twenty years after initially retiring from ski racing.
