Source publication date:
Mitja Janc said he felt fully adapted to Wisla Plock in an EHF interview published before the club's Champions League play-off against Sporting. The Slovenian centre back joined from Celje in 2024 and was completing his second season in Poland.
Janc had scored 51 goals in the competition, making him Plock's second leading scorer behind Melvyn Richardson. He attributed greater confidence and responsibility to another year within the team's system, stronger relationships with teammates and continued tactical development.
The interview also explored his family connection with Barça winger Blaž Janc, his elder brother. Mitja described playing against him as a special experience while emphasising that competition takes priority on court. Against Sporting, he anticipated a demanding two leg contest decided by details.
