Source publication date:
The Hungarian Football Federation brought 130 sports specialists to its Telki training centre for a grassroots workshop. The February 19 event addressed communication with children and the relationship between grassroots participation, player development and youth training.
István Jenő Molnár of the Safe and Liveable Cities Association discussed coach-player communication from a child-protection perspective, drawing on research. MLSZ grassroots department head András Gáncsos then presented the federation's approach to player development.
The session was the second in an initiative launched the previous year, with workshops intended every six months. Gáncsos said the objective was to encourage more children to start football and remain involved, while supporting talented players to reach higher levels.
