Moldova’s youth and junior SAMBO championships ran from 20 to 22 February at Bălți’s Boris Petukhov Sports Hall. The national meeting attracted 380 athletes from across the country.
Category winners received official national team places for the 2026 European championships, making the domestic results part of an international selection process. Federation president Iuliu Piaticovski highlighted participation and the competitors’ readiness for the next stage.
The championships followed a 14 February coaching seminar and training camp involving athletes and coaches from seven northern cities. Those activities addressed technical and tactical preparation. The official report confirms the selection mechanism and event scale, but does not publish the full squad by name; this account consequently avoids manufacturing a roster.
