Munich confirmed for two junior European championships
The refurbished 1972 Olympic hall will host swimming and artistic swimming consecutively.

European Aquatics confirmed Munich’s refurbished Olympic swimming hall as the venue for its junior swimming and artistic swimming championships. Artistic swimming is scheduled from 30 June to 4 July, followed by swimming from 7 to 12 July, placing both events within one summer hosting programme.
Germany’s award had first been announced the previous July, while the February confirmation identified the city and historic venue. The hall was built for the 1972 Olympics and has since been extensively modernised for contemporary competition and training requirements.
The swimming championships return to Germany after forty years, and the combined hosting arrangement is a first for this venue. The German federation said the events would support young athletes’ development and give further momentum to its artistic swimming programme.
