Naples launches history of Campania athletics
The illustrated volume documents more than a century of athletes, results and regional sport.

More than two hundred representatives of Campania athletics attended the Naples launch of a new regional history by Rino Manzo and Fausto Narducci. The event at Canottieri Napoli brought together former and current athletes, federation officials and local sporting leaders.
The 352-page illustrated volume covers athletics from the late nineteenth century to 2025. It includes fifty-five pages of all-time rankings and more than five thousand athlete names, combining statistics with interviews and historical accounts.
European marathon champion Maria Guida joined the presentation, while Stefano Mei contributed the book’s foreword. The gathering also recognised athletes, clubs and officials for their 2025 performances, connecting the published history with the region’s continuing contribution to Italian athletics.
