NBL attendance reaches one million in record time
The league passed the milestone for a third successive season before the regular schedule ended.
Source publication date:
The NBL reported its millionth spectator of the 2025–26 season, reaching the attendance milestone earlier than in any previous campaign. It was the third consecutive season above one million, achieved with 90 per cent of the regular-season schedule completed.
The league also counted 53 sellouts after 144 games, compared with 50 sellouts reached during the previous season’s playoffs after 150 games. Adelaide and Tasmania had sold out every home fixture for the second successive year.
Chief executive David Stevenson attributed the demand to clubs, star players and close games, and encouraged attendance through the remaining schedule and finals. The announcement preceded Round 21, providing a concrete measure of audience growth before the postseason began.
