NBL confirms championship MVP voting system
Panellists will use a three-two-one vote for every game in the Sydney–Adelaide series.
Source publication date:
NBL confirmed the process for awarding the Larry Sengstock Trophy to the most valuable player of its championship series. With Sydney Kings and Adelaide 36ers qualified for the final, the league specified that panellists would vote after each game.
The system awards votes on a three-two-one basis per match. Basketball operations head Vince Crivelli said the league had reviewed the methodology and remained satisfied that it was appropriate, balanced and consistent with expectations from players, clubs and supporters.
The series itinerary placed the first game at Qudos Bank Arena, followed by Adelaide Entertainment Centre and another Sydney fixture. Further games were conditional on the series outcome, so the award process was designed to operate across whichever number of matches was required.
