NBL warns Peterson over Spark Arena incident
The Hawks guard was directed to apologise and cover any facility damage costs.
Source publication date:
The NBL issued QJ Peterson a formal warning following its investigation of an incident at Spark Arena. The conduct occurred during the New Zealand Breakers’ match against Illawarra on 7 February and involved arena facilities and a staff member.
The league directed the Hawks guard to provide a written apology to the employee concerned. Peterson was also made responsible for any costs associated with damage to the stadium facilities, adding a practical requirement to the disciplinary warning.
Illawarra was formally notified of the determination. The published statement described the sanction and obligations without announcing a suspension or a monetary fine. Its focus was the conduct investigation and the remedial steps required of Peterson following the Auckland game.
