Vilde Nilsen won her first Paralympic gold in the women’s standing classic sprint, ahead of Sydney Peterson and defending champion Natalie Wilkie. Oksana Masters retained the women’s sitting title by passing Yunji Kim on the final climb, with Shiyu Wang taking bronze in Val di Fiemme.

Cristian Westemaier Ribera became South America’s first Winter Paralympic medallist through men’s sitting silver. Zixu Liu passed him late to retain the title, and Yerbol Khamitov finished third. Jake Adicoff won his first individual Paralympic gold in men’s vision impaired with guide Peter Wolter.

Anastasiia Bagiian claimed women’s vision impaired gold on her Games debut, ahead of Linn Kazmaier and Jihong Cong. Raman Svirydzenka also debuted with victory, taking the men’s standing final ahead of Sebastian Marburger.
