Norway won the Olympic men’s four-by-7.5-kilometre relay in Tesero, giving Johannes Høsflot Klæbo his ninth career gold. That total surpassed Bjørn Dæhlie’s eight-title record and established a new highest gold-medal tally at the Winter Games.
Klæbo began the final leg with a twelve-second advantage provided by his teammates and protected the lead to the finish. France took silver after Mathis Desloges advanced the team on the third leg and Victor Lovera maintained its position.
Italy earned bronze through Federico Pellegrino’s final-leg move past Finland’s Niko Anttola on the last hill. The medal came during Pellegrino’s final Olympics and gave the host country a place on the relay podium in front of home supporters.
