The Czech won the final eight games of their fourth-round match.
Source publication date:
Linda Noskova defeated Alexandra Eala 6–2, 6–0 to reach her first Indian Wells quarterfinal. The fifty-five-minute fourth-round victory delivered the Czech’s first tour quarterfinal of the season, with an early service break setting the direction of a dominant performance.
From 4–2 in the opener, Noskova won eight consecutive games to finish. She hit seven aces, saved the only break point she faced and converted five of eight break opportunities, controlling rallies with a strong serve and aggressive baseline play.
At twenty-one, Noskova became the second-youngest Czech to reach three WTA 1000 quarterfinals since the category began, behind Marketa Vondrousova. She advanced to a first meeting with Australian qualifier Talia Gibson, with both players having struck more than one hundred winners that tournament.
