Germany win men’s and relay university triathlon titles
Hungary’s Dominika Peszleg takes women’s gold in a close sprint.

Germany’s Benedikt Bettin won men’s individual gold at the FISU World University Triathlon Championship in Nyon. Fellow Freiburg student Jan Scheffold took silver and Hungary’s Gergö Dobi completed the podium.
Hungary’s Dominika Peszleg won the women’s race, finishing one second ahead of France’s Elena Polaert and two ahead of Appoline Foltz. Fifty-one women competed, while the men’s field contained 70 athletes from 29 countries and regions.
Germany also won mixed relay gold through Julia Bodenschatz, Scheffold, Sophie Giessmann and Bettin. Belgium and Great Britain took silver and bronze as the 8–9 August championship concluded beside Lake Léman.
