Elvira’s perfect shooting earned a first victory in the fifteen-kilometre discipline.
Source publication date:
Elvira Oeberg won the women’s fifteen-kilometre individual in Kontiolahti in 41:46.4 after hitting all twenty targets. Her first victory in that discipline completed wins across every World Cup race format, with sister Hanna finishing second, 41.3 seconds behind after one shooting penalty.
Hanna led through three stages before a final standing miss changed the order. She recovered on the last loop to pass rivals for second, while Paulina Batovska-Fialkova took third at forty-five seconds in her first podium finish of the season at the Finnish venue.
Lou Jeanmonnot finished forty-fifth with four penalties but secured the individual Crystal Globe, scoring 136 points against Anna Magnusson’s 134. Tereza Vobornikova placed fourth and Marlene Fichtner achieved a career-best fifth.
