Jens Luraas Oftebro won the Nordic combined Gundersen competition in Lahti, finishing in 22 minutes and 48.9 seconds. His brother Einar followed 3.3 seconds later, with Finland’s Ilkka Herola third after a contest in which a chasing group overturned Johannes Lamparter’s jumping advantage during the ski race.

Lamparter had jumped 129.5 metres for 139.5 points and started twenty seconds ahead. Three rivals caught him around the three-kilometre mark before Jens accelerated over the final two kilometres, producing the move that decided the podium positions in front of the Finnish spectators.

Lamparter finished fourth but clinched the overall title. His 143-point lead exceeded the hundred points available in the remaining individual event, securing his second World Cup globe after his 2022/23 championship.
