Hartlepool United defeated Carlisle United 3–1, with Calvin Okike scoring with his first touch in professional football. The young substitute converted a rebound almost immediately after entering, extending a lead established by Tyrese Sinclair and Alex Reid.
Sinclair opened the scoring with an individual run from halfway, beating defenders before finishing from a tight angle. Reid added the second shortly after halftime from Matty Daly's pass, giving Hartlepool control of the contest.
Carlisle were reduced to ten men when Harvey MacAdam received a second yellow card. Okike then scored Hartlepool's third before Georgie Kelly replied for the visitors. The hosts saw out the remaining stages to record consecutive league victories.
