Olympic snowboard slopestyle finals rescheduled after snow
The women’s final moved to Wednesday while the men’s start was brought forward.
Source publication date:
Heavy snowfall forced organisers to postpone the Olympic women’s snowboard slopestyle final in Livigno. More than twenty centimetres fell overnight, followed by continued snow through the morning and afternoon, preventing the planned Tuesday competition from proceeding.
The women’s final was moved to Wednesday at 14:30 Central European Time. The men’s final, already scheduled for Wednesday, was brought forward by seventy minutes to 11:20 so both events could take place on the revised programme.
Zoi Sadowski-Synnott had qualified first for the women’s event and remained among the title contenders. The announcement changed the timing of the finals while preserving the qualified field, with competitors awaiting conditions suitable for their medal runs at Livigno Snow Park.
