Ozbas wins Paris under-70kg final in golden score
Hungary’s Szofi Ozbas beat April Lynn Fohouo to take the women’s title.

Szofi Ozbas won the women’s under-70kg title at the Paris Grand Slam by defeating Switzerland’s April Lynn Fohouo in golden score. The Hungarian top seed repeatedly attacked during regulation time, but Fohouo resisted and kept the bout scoreless through four minutes.
In the additional period, Ozbas changed the contest through the transition between standing and groundwork, turning Fohouo onto her back to secure gold. The twenty-year-old Swiss athlete nevertheless left with silver after challenging a more experienced finalist throughout their match.
Japan’s Rin Maeda won bronze through a submission against Portugal’s Tais Pina. Spain’s Ai Tsunoda Roustant took the other bronze against Irene Pedrotti after an apparent Italian score was overturned for occurring outside the contest area, followed by Tsunoda Roustant’s decisive attack.
