Jessica Pegula described the technical work supporting her continued development in an interview with the WTA. Approaching her thirty-second birthday, she explained how coaches had focused on matching her footwork and spacing to the timing and hand skills already central to her game.

Pegula identified early contact, flat depth and changes of direction as strengths suited to hard courts. Training had increasingly emphasised making those patterns more efficient, rather than changing the basic style that helped her remain among the leading players.

She also discussed managing injuries during a difficult preseason and maintaining emotional consistency between tournaments. Her broader aim remained daily improvement, with recent progress reinforcing her belief that players can continue developing beyond their early twenties.
