Pegula wins tenth singles title in Dubai
The American defeated Elina Svitolina to collect her fourth WTA 1000 championship.

Jessica Pegula won her tenth tour singles title by defeating Elina Svitolina 6–2, 6–4 in the Dubai final. The seventy-two-minute victory brought the American her fourth WTA 1000 crown and ended a sequence of deep tournament runs without another championship.
Pegula broke early to establish a 3–0 lead and remained in control after Svitolina briefly narrowed the gap. A break for 3–2 in the second set proved decisive, and Pegula completed the match with an ace.
Her route included victories over Iva Jovic, Clara Tauson and Amanda Anisimova before the final. Pegula became the third American women’s singles champion in Dubai, joining Lindsay Davenport and Venus Williams among the tournament’s winners.
