Perathoner wins home Paralympic snowboard cross gold
Hernandez and Ji defended titles as Wu’s late pass settled the other men’s final.

Emanuel Perathoner won men’s lower limb two snowboard cross in Cortina, delivering Italy’s first gold of the Winter Paralympics on his Games debut. Ben Tudhope improved on his Beijing bronze through silver, and Jehyuk Lee took third after the Italian led from the start in the final.
Fifty-one-year-old Cécile Hernandez retained the women’s title ahead of Kate Delson, with Xinyu Wang taking bronze after a collision involving the two Chinese finalists. The French veteran held off the younger American’s challenge through the final bends at her last Paralympic Games.
Zhongwei Wu passed Noah Elliott near the line to win men’s lower limb one. Lijia Ji retained men’s upper limb gold ahead of Yonggang Zhu, while Aron Fahrni interrupted China’s possible podium sweep with bronze.
