The NBL sanctioned Perth after determining that club personnel breached two Code of Conduct clauses during interactions with broadcast staff at a live game. The total fine was $3000, consisting of $2000 payable immediately and $1000 suspended for 24 months.

The suspended component would become payable if club personnel committed another conduct breach involving broadcast staff during that period. The league also considered an earlier separate incident involving different Perth personnel when determining the sanction.

Perth was instructed to provide internal education for relevant staff on appropriate interactions with broadcast and match-day personnel. Assistant coach Ben Peterson was required to make a formal written apology to the camera operator. The Wildcats were given seven days to appeal the decision.
