Pessac handball draw sets groups for university championships
Eight men’s and eight women’s teams were placed into two groups apiece.

FISU conducted the draw for the Pessac university handball championships at its Lausanne headquarters. The announcement set the event for 21–27 June in the Bordeaux metropolitan area, with eight teams in each tournament.
Women’s Group A contained France, Poland, the Netherlands and China; Group B comprised Spain, Czechia, Germany and Brazil. Spain entered as defending champion after winning the 2024 edition in Antequera.
Men’s Group A featured France, Poland, Brazil and Lebanon, while Spain, Czechia, Croatia and Argentina formed Group B. Seeding used the previous championship and IHF rankings, with limits on the continental composition of each group.
