Phoenix pressure earns 111–94 seeding qualifier win over Perth

South East Melbourne defeated Perth 111–94 in the NBL seeding qualifier, earning a play-off series against Adelaide. The Phoenix's full court pressure produced seventeen Wildcats turnovers and helped the home side establish a seventeen point half-time lead.
South East Melbourne also collected seventeen offensive rebounds and attempted 28 more field goals than Perth. Nathan Sobey contributed 24 points and seven assists, while Owen Foxwell added eighteen points, five assists and four steals.
Kristian Doolittle led Perth with 22 points, but the Wildcats struggled to organise possession against the Phoenix defence. Perth retained a second route into the play-offs through a subsequent play-in match, while South East Melbourne moved directly into its series against the competition's second ranked team.
