Piedmont honours athletics champions at Pollenzo ceremony
Regional awards recognised senior, youth and masters achievements from the previous season.

FIDAL Piedmont celebrated its leading athletes and clubs at the University of Gastronomic Sciences in Pollenzo. The ceremony honoured 2025 national champions, international representatives and winners of regional trophies, with new special masters awards recognising further international achievements by previous recipients.
Andrea Cerrato received the senior men’s athletics award after national combined-event titles indoors and outdoors. Gaya Bertello won the women’s award, while the youth honours went to hurdler Alessia Succo and four-hundred-metre runner Juan José Caggia.
Claudio Lastella received the coaching award. The gathering also remembered regional secretary Sebastiano Spina, who died in January, awarding him the federation’s Golden Card posthumously. Regional president Clelia Zola welcomed guests including Maurizio Damilano and Franco Arese.
