Laura Pirovano won the final women’s downhill in Kvitfjell to claim her first Crystal Globe, completing three consecutive victories. The Italian defeated Breezy Johnson by 0.15 seconds and Kira Weidle-Winkelmann by 0.25 after entering the race with a twenty-eight-point lead in the discipline standings.

Emma Aicher finished fifth behind Ariane Raedler and ended the season second, eighty-three points behind Pirovano. Johnson’s runner-up result lifted the American to third in the standings, while Weidle-Winkelmann finished fourth in the season classification after another strong race at the Norwegian venue.

Pirovano had never reached a World Cup podium before her first Val di Fassa victory earlier in March. Success on consecutive days there created the opportunity she converted through another precise final performance.
