Pliskova and Osorio advance after Doha retirements
Illness ended Anisimova’s and Raducanu’s matches during their deciding sets.

Karolina Pliskova and Camila Osorio advanced in Doha after Amanda Anisimova and Emma Raducanu retired with illness during deciding sets. Pliskova led Anisimova 5–7, 7–6, 4–1 when their second-round contest ended, while Osorio progressed from her first-round meeting with Raducanu.
Pliskova recovered from 3–0 down in the second set and won its tiebreak 7–3. The former world number one was competing in only her third tour tournament since a lengthy absence caused by an ankle injury.
Osorio also lost the opening set before winning the second 6–4. Raducanu retired trailing 2–0 in the third, giving the Colombian an eighth consecutive professional victory and a next-round meeting with Katerina Siniakova.
