Porto laboratory recommended for European Aquatics accreditation
LABIOMEP is set to join the high performance centre network through January 2028.
Source publication date:
European Aquatics reported that the University of Porto’s LABIOMEP had been recommended for accreditation as a sport science and high performance centre until 31 January 2028. The laboratory would join facilities already accredited at the University of Granada and Gloria Sports Arena in Antalya.
The network provides evaluation and screening for athletes, with reports identifying strengths and areas where performance could improve. Its work covers technical movement, race segments, muscle strength and conditioning, linking laboratory assessment with practical decisions about training.
Athletes, clubs and national federations can contact the centres directly to arrange access. The February report presents LABIOMEP’s recommended inclusion in the network, while the existing Granada and Antalya accreditations remain valid until the end of November 2026.
