Quilter Cheviot becomes British Open title sponsor
The 2026 tournament offers $740,000 in player compensation and returns to Birmingham Rep.

Quilter Cheviot was named title sponsor of the 2026 British Open, scheduled for 30 May–7 June in Birmingham. The wealth management firm joined the PSA tour’s longest-running tournament as it prepared for a fourth consecutive year at Birmingham Rep Theatre.
The event would host ninety-six players and provide $740,000 in total player compensation. Qualifying was scheduled for 26–28 May at Solihull Arden Club, with selected early-round matches also played there. The Rep’s glass show court was to be installed from 31 May.
Tournament director Tim Garner welcomed the sponsor’s support for the championship, which began in 1929. Quilter Cheviot chief executive John Goddard highlighted the opportunity to connect with a new audience. Diego Elias and Nouran Gohar entered the season as the 2025 British Open champions.
