Rachael Grinham recognised in Australia Day honours
The former world number one received an appointment for services as athlete and administrator.

Rachael Grinham was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia in the General Division in the 2026 Australia Day Honours List. The former squash world number one was recognised for significant service to the sport as both an athlete and an administrator.
The PSA report recorded her participation in 322 tour events across three decades and sixteen consecutive months at world number one in 2004 and 2005. Her thirty-seven tour titles included two British Opens and the 2007 World Open, highlighting sustained international achievement.
Grinham also earned eight Commonwealth Games medals and carried Australia’s flag at Birmingham 2022. The same honours list recognised Albert Armstrong, Roger Flynn and Susan Rainey with Medals of the Order of Australia for their contributions to squash.
