Rashford ruled out of Atletico cup trip with knee pain
The winger’s problem followed a blow in Barcelona’s Mallorca match.

Barcelona confirmed that Marcus Rashford would miss the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final at Atletico Madrid because of pain in his left knee. The winger had taken a blow during the preceding home league match against Mallorca.
The club’s medical update linked the problem directly to that incident at Spotify Camp Nou. Rashford therefore remained unavailable as Hansi Flick prepared his team for the cup fixture, joining Raphinha among the players absent from the final training session before departure.
Barcelona completed that session at the Ciutat Esportiva with their available squad members. Flick was due to announce his travelling group before the trip to Madrid, where the opening semi-final leg was scheduled for a nine o’clock kick-off.
