Rayan and Adli turn Everton match around for Bournemouth
Two quick second-half headers extended Bournemouth’s unbeaten league sequence.
Source publication date:
Bournemouth recovered from a goal down to beat Everton 2-1 at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Rayan and Amine Adli scored within three second-half minutes, completing a turnaround that extended the visitors’ unbeaten Premier League sequence to six matches in total.
Iliman Ndiaye had given Everton the lead from the penalty spot after Rayan fouled Jarrad Branthwaite. The home side missed opportunities to increase their advantage before Rayan redeemed his earlier mistake with a headed equaliser in the 61st minute.
Adli then finished a set-piece move with another header. Everton subsequently lost Jake O’Brien to a red card for denying a goalscoring opportunity, and Bournemouth climbed to ninth, directly behind Everton on goal difference.
