Rayan scored his first Premier League goal as Bournemouth drew 1-1 with Aston Villa at the Vitality Stadium. The Brazilian teenager’s second-half equaliser continued an encouraging start after his January move from Vasco da Gama to the English club.

Morgan Rogers had put Villa ahead in the 22nd minute after combining with Jadon Sancho, despite Bournemouth creating several early chances. Rayan levelled ten minutes after the interval, carrying the ball forward and finding the near corner with a low finish.

Bournemouth pushed for a winner, but Emiliano Martinez twice denied Ryan Christie with impressive saves. The draw extended Bournemouth’s unbeaten league sequence to five matches, while Villa remained third with forty-seven points.
