Registration opened for the 2026 European Masters Handball Championship in Setúbal, Portugal. The tournament will run from 18 to 21 June, bringing experienced players from across Europe together for competition across several age categories and local sports halls.
The programme introduces a men’s over-sixty category for players born before the end of 1966. That division will only proceed if at least four teams enter, while each category has a maximum of sixteen places allocated in registration order.
Teams have until 27 April to register through the local organising committee. The announcement builds on a masters movement that began with the first European edition in 2003 and followed a 2025 tournament in Sevilla accompanied by a participation-focused manifesto.
